河马，赞比西河，非洲，1997                                                                        雄性河马为守卫自身活动地域，常以大张嘴巴来显示自己的权威。正如图中这只赞比西河河马一般，这样的示威更像是大打哈欠。在交配季节，雄性河马会占领一段海岸线并且拼命守护，有时甚至会因此而杀害某个同样单身的竞争对手。
